Halloween celebrations in Perry are taking place a little early this year.

Due to the holiday falling on a Monday and school conferences going on that same afternoon, the City, Chamber and hospital have all decided to have their festivities this Friday.

Chamber Executive Director Bob Wilson says his kids are already looking forward to Spooktacular.

“It’s on Second Street, roads will be closed.  We’re encouraging businesses, even if you’re not located downtown, just come on down and we’ll find you a spot.  About 2,000 kids take advantage of this awesome program.  It’s a safe environment for them to be able to walk across the street, and I love that.  We’re happy to throw this all together that night.”

Spooktacular takes place downtown from 4-6pm.  The city-wide trick-or-treat is from 6-8pm and Dallas County Hospital’s Safe and Healthy Halloween happens from 5-6:30pm.
