Sheriff Marty ArganbrightThe head of the Guthrie County Sheriff’s office is running unopposed in next month’s general election.

Sheriff Marty Arganbright is seeking a third, four-year term as Guthrie County Sheriff. He started as a police officer and was promoted to Police Chief in Panora before coming over to the sheriff’s office. He describes the recent accomplishments for his office since he’s been sheriff.

“We’ve gained three deputies in the past term that I just completed. We took over Guthrie Center as far as their law enforcement, that’s working out great. I want to continue to serve the county and serve the citizens, and try to do the best job we can as a department. I feel good about what we have and what we’ve been doing.”

He’s happy with his current personnel and working with the Board of Supervisors to help his office continue to improve.

The election will be on November 8th.
