We continue our introductions of the candidates running for State Representative in House District 20 today.
Democratic candidate Scott Heldt says he chose to enter the race after seeing what being a lawmaker is like while working on
“I feel that I have the right priorities and I also have the right vision for Iowa’s future. My opponents want obstruction, they want to continue to see the schools be underfunded, Medicaid be privatized and this assault on mental health to continue. I strongly believe in empowering the people and empowering our youth to make a difference. It’s time that we invest in them and make this state a great place to live.”
Heldt will tell us more about his campaign and goals on today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours.
