There’s less than a week left until the general election and county auditor offices in Iowa will be open this Saturday for those wanting to vote early.
The Guthrie County Auditor’s office will be open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday. Any registered voter can stop by the Auditor’s office to vote via absentee ballot ahead of November 8th. Auditor Jerri Christman says last Saturday their office was open and about 20 people came in to vote.
As of Tuesday morning, the Auditor’s office sent out 1,874 absentee ballots and they have received 1,527 back. Five ballots were voided due to a death or other circumstances.
Anyone who has an absentee ballot mailed to them, must have them postmarked back to the auditor’s office by November 7th at midnight.
You can also stop by the Auditor’s office in Guthrie Center during normal business hours from Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
