Greene County High School junior Haley Hall swims at the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Swimming Championship today at the Marshalltown YMCA. Starting time is 12:30 p.m. Hall swims for Boone through an athletic sharing agreement.

She’s in the 200 medley relay with the butterfly leg and also on the 400 freestyle relay. Boone enters state ranked eleventh in the medley and 21st in the freestyle.

About the season, in which Boone had an unbeaten dual meet record, Hall told Raccoon Valley Radio, “I think this year went better than we could have imagined. We had goals to do this well, but I think some of us thought they were unrealistic, but then they actually happened, so that’s even better!”

The Toreadors have six events in all swimming today.
