Dallas County Hospital has been honored for their support of the military.

The Iowa Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, an agency of the Department of Defense, awarded April Tierney and Margo Starr with a Patriotic Employer Award.

These awards recognize those who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees who have answered the nation’s call to serve.  Iowa ESGR State Chair Steve Bogle says Tierney and Starr were nominated for being highly supportive of the National Guard by their reserve component employee.  He adds that “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.”

The ESGR aims to provide education, consultation and mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.
