The 2016-17 high school girls’ basketball season for the Greene County Rams begins tomorrow night in Monroe vs. Heart of Iowa Activities Conference rival PCM. Dean Lyons is back for a second year as head coach and Jeff Lamoureux returns as the assistant. The Rams return 2015-16 leading scorer Laurin Lyons and several other letter winners off the 3-18 team of a season ago. Turnovers and cold shooting were issues last season when the Rams averaged just 26.6 points per game.

PCM swept the two-game season series in 2015-16, winning both contests by double digits. The Mustangs return 39 of the 41 points per game they averaged a season ago, including their top seven scorers.
