Yesterday the Iowa News Paper Association released their 2016 edition All-State teams.
Each class is divided up into three teams comprised of both offensive and defensive positions. Inside class 1A’s list of athletes, there lies two Panther football players, one belonging to class 1A’s first team all state and one belonging to class 1A’s second team all state.
Panorama’s first team all-state selection was 6-4 225 lb senior offensive lineman Jeramy Randol. Randol was part of a talented Panther offensive line who allowed just 9.5 sacks throughout the entire season with a freshmen quarterback at the helm.
Panorama’s second team all-state selection was awarded to 6-0, 251 lb junior defensive lineman Daniel Jensen. Jensen was a sacks machine on the season, tieing for the top spot in all of class 1A football in sacks on the season with 10 total.
