It’s officially t-minus 6 days until the ADM Tiger wrestling team kicks off their season with their December 1st meet in Huxley taking on the likes  of North Polk and Ballard high schools.

There has been a lot of progress made inside the two weeks worth of practice so far and there have been many different components that have helped coach Justin Schmuass and his team prepare for their first meet. One thing that has really aided coach Schmuass is something that dates back to last season in his returning district and state qualifiers. From inspirational pieces to technical teachings, ADM’s four district/state qualifiers in Caleb Buse, Andre Flora, Nolan Harsh, and Christ Johnston allows coach Schmuass to do a lot in preparation for each meet.

Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with coach Schmauss on the benefits of his returning experience and what it allows him to do with his team going forward.

“Each of them has their very own strengths and can teach others. That’s a great asset to have in the room that way I can just say hey Andrew Flora can you come up and show the team your take down or show them how you did that escape this last weekend. That helps a lot having those kind of guys in there that can teach each other,” explained coach Schmauss.

Again just 6 more days until coach Schmauss and his Tiger team display their talents on the mat at Ballard high school on December 1st.
