Greene County fell to Van Meter/Earlham 54-21 and to Ogden 39-36 in season opening non-conference high school wrestling in Ogden on Tuesday night.

The majority of the wins for the Rams came by forfeit. Two Rams went 2-0 on the night with Junior Cayden Gerdes winning a 7-6 decision and a collecting a forfeit at 132 lbs. Senior Isaiah Yoder collected two forfeits at 182. Sophomore Brock Wuebker won by fall and lost by fall at 170 lbs. Other Rams that went 1-1 with the win coming by forfeit were Garrett Tasler at 106, Dale Morlan at 120, and Will Hansen at 126, and Marcus Rosenow at 195.

The Rams wrestle tomorrow night in Carroll vs. Carroll High and Winterset starting at 5:30 p.m. It’s Greene County and the Huskies in the first meet, followed by Carroll and Winterset, with the Rams and Tigers closing out the action.
