A Bayard man pled not guilty to charges from a September incident.
According to court documents, 20 year-old Collin Richards pled not guilty in his arraignment hearing on felonies for third degree burglary and second degree theft and aggravated misdemeanors for possession of stolen property and third degree criminal mischief.
The charges stem from an executed search warrant on September 25th at Richards’ residence in the 200 block of Main Street in Bayard. Officers recovered 130 packs of cigarettes, 13 cans of chewing tobacco and 55 cans of beer that Richards and two other individuals allegedly stole from Sparky’s One Stop on September 24th. When officers viewed video footage of the incident, they saw Richards and two other individuals break the glass of the front door and steal the items.
