Tonight both girls and boys basketball teams will be in action for their second double header of the season in a Guthrie County showdown against West Central Valley.

The Lady Panthers will march in with one game already under their belts with a 69-30 win against Bondurant-Farrar. The Lady Panthers are looking to spring off of that game one performance that saw Panorama put up 48 points in two quarters while holding the Lady Blue Jays under 10 points for three straight quarters. Tonight, they take on a West Central Valley Lady Wildcat team that has been more than a successful match up for Panorama, in fact, the Lady Panthers have gone seven straight seasons without a loss to the Lady Wildcats garnering a 15-2 record against WCV in the past eight years. They will look for win number 2 on the season and win number 16 in the eight year series tonight.

The second game of the double header involves the Panorama boys basketball team who will seek to bounce back from their 66-30 loss to Des Moines Christian in their first game of the season. It was a tough game for the Panthers as they earned only one double digit scoring quarter which came in the third. The Panorama boys team will also be looking to continue success against the West Central Valley boys basketball team tonight marching onto the Wildcat hardwood with an 11-1 record against the Wildcats in the past 6 seasons.

The second double header of the season for the Panthers will kick off tonight with the Lady Panthers taking to the hardwood beginning at 6:00 pm followed by the boys contest at 7:30 pm.
