Two local artists and business owners are hosting open houses this weekend.

It will be a Wooly Good Time at Mary Rose Designs where there will be yard spinning, knitting and felted wool along with hot cider and goodies, drawings and giveaways.

Betsy Person Designs will be featuring their art, pottery and handcrafted gifts from the heart, along with fresh chocolate chip scones and hot chocolate.

Bob Wilson from the Perry Chamber says it’s a great time to shop local.

“Any time we can kick off the holidays this way is a great opportunity and you just never know what you’re going to find in our downtown, there’s just so many great retail options right now.  So take advantage of it while we can.”

Both events take place Saturday from 10am until 5pm and Sunday from noon until 4pm.
