The State Auditor’s office has released an audit report on the South Dallas County Landfill Agency.

According to the report, the agency had a total of $2 million in receipts during the last fiscal year that ended in June.  This is a 16.2 percent increase over the prior year.  Receipts include $1.9 million in landfill gate receipts and a member assessment of $15,000.

Disbursements for the year totaled $1 million, a 46.6 percent increase from the 2015 fiscal year due to increased capital outlay for the purchase of equipment.  This includes $375,000 for capital outlay, $231,000 for salaries and benefits and $63,000 for the solid waste contract.
