Detective Sergeant Jerome Hill has been organizing the Perry Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program for several years now, he basically has it down to a science.  Despite the growth from just a handful of families being helped when it started to dozens of people getting involved currently, Hill says local residents have always been willing to step up and help.

“It’s always really good to see our community come together and really make this a great program.  I mean, we call this a Shop with a Cop program but really it’s a community program because we couldn’t do it without the community’s help.  So that’s awesome.”

The department accepts donations for the program year round.  They can be dropped off at the public safety building or mailed to 908 Willis Avenue in Perry.
