The Jefferson VFW Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring their main fundraiser throughout this month.
The Tree of Heroes is a Christmas tree that is on display now in the south assembly room of the Greene County Courthouse. On the tree are stars with names of military veterans on them in honor or in memory of those who served our country.
Anyone interested in having a star to honor the memory of a veteran, can fill out an application, with a free-will donation and send it to Auxiliary Treasurer Jan Shrunk at 200 East Clark Street in Jefferson. The tree will remain on display in the courthouse until January 1st.
