After the lengthy layoff both ADM Tiger basketball squads will be hitting the road and back on the court for a conference showdown in Winterset.

For the Lady Tigers, they will be entering into a contest against the Lady Huskies that they have faired very well in over the course of three seasons. Dating back to when the current group of seniors hit the high school basketball stage as freshmen, ADM has leveraged a 5-2 record over Winterset outscoring the Lady Huskies 347-297 which includes their playoff match up from last season. Certainly a hard fought rivalry in which the Lady Tigers tend to do their best work averaging 49.5 points per contest through 7 games against Winterset while also averaging just over 34 rebounds per contest. Both point and rebounding averages against Winterset are the highest against any one opponent for the Lady Tigers within the past three seasons. Leading the successful charge against Winterset has been three year starter Sydney Bertman who has averaged 14 points and just over 9 rebounds against Winterset in her career.  The Lady Tigers look to continue that trend tonight as game one of the girl/boy double header.

The second game of the double header belongs to the ADM boys squad who also looks to continue their own successful streak against Winterset. Over the course of the past three seasons, ADM has earned a 5-1 record against the Huskies averaging 63 points per contest compared to Winterset’s 54 point average against the Tigers. A large part of that success over the past four games against Winterset has been one of ADM’s senior sharp shooters Matt Larson who has played some of his best games against Winterset averaging 16 points per contest through four games against the Huskies. The Tiger boys squad aims at a revenge win after loosing to the Huskies at Winterset last year.

The Tiger vs Husky rematches will tip off today at Winterset high school with the girls game at 6:00 pm with the boys game to follow. Catch all the action starting with pregame coverage at 5:45 on K107.9 FM and online at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
