For the first time in a while, at least one community in the Raccoon River Valley has received above normal precipitation.
According to the National Weather Service, 0.53 inches of precipitation, including 0.8 inch of snow, fell over Perry this past week. That’s above the normal precipitation level of 0.38 inch.
Guthrie Center has seen just a trace amount of precipitation when they usually have around half an inch during the first week of December.
There’s a chance of more snow on Sunday.
