A Jefferson man was sentenced to probation for a March incident.
According to court documents, 37 year-old Joseph Ross Jabaay pled guilty to a Class D Felony for third or subsequent offense for possession of meth. He was sentenced to three years of probation and was ordered to pay over $1,000 in fines, surcharges, court costs and a DARE charge. In the plea agreement, Jabaay’s simple misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia was also dropped.
The charge stems from an executed search warrant in the 500 block of South Walnut Street on March 2nd. Items that were recovered from the search came back positive from the Criminalistics Laboratory in Ankeny in June, and officers arrested Jabaay at his new residence in the 100 block of East Washington Street.
Another suspect in the search warrant, 29 year-old Jasmine Tranae Fluker was sentenced to one-year of informal probation for a serious misdemeanor for possession of meth.
