Heading into the break, almost every high school basketball team in some way or another, are searching to find balance and versatility. For head coach Drew Stonewall and the West Central Valley Lady Wildcats, that have pretty much already found their balance heading into the break.

Raccoon Valley Radio spoke with coach Stonewall on one of the biggest positives for his team, which he states is versatility and and contribution from the whole team.

“I think probably the biggest thing I’ve seen from this team so far is the amount of girls that can contribute on a given night. I never really know who’s going to step up and do certain things and that’s OK as long as long as somebody does it. I think we’re a very versatile team both inside and outside and I think we have several different girls that can put up a lot of points on a given night, we have several girls that can dish the ball and get a lot of assists, we’ve got several girls who can rebound the ball well and several girls that can defend well,” stated coach Stonewall.

The team’s versatility can be easily located inside scoring totals as the Lady Wildcats have 4 players within 4 points of each other in points per game. Likewise, the versatility can be seen in the rebounding category with two Lady Wildcats inside the top 15 individuals in the conference in total rebounding.
