Inside the intermission of the 2016-2017 basketball season, the ADM Tiger boys basketball squad currently finds themselves at a 3-3 mark before they start back up in 2017.

For head coach Aaron Mager and his Tiger squad it has been a tale of two sides through the first six games. All of ADM’s wins so far on the season have been localized inside ADM high school while all of ADM’s downfalls have come outside the comforts of home. From a team that won two out of their first three road games last season ending with a 6-4 road record, ADM has not found similar success in the 2016-2017 season loosing all of their first three road contests.  The Tigers have defended their home court well on the season outscoring their opponents inside the ADM gym 202-148 but when the Tigers have taken to the road this season, the roles have been reversed with the Tigers being outscored 169-207 on the road.

Not a whole lot has changed in terms of loss of seniors from last season, but what has been the change and one thing that has had an impact this season is the lack of size down low with the loss of Jacob Hardy. The Tigers have lost Hardy’s 75 points from the low post position last season which has now been replaced by 18 points from ADM’s post players this season through six games.

The Tigers have certainly found their comfort level easier heading into the half of home games where they have led by no less than four points at the intermissions meanwhile for each of ADM’s away losses have yielded no more than a 3 point lead at the half.

The Tiger boys squad will perhaps have one of their toughest road tests of the season as they search for their first road win in the 2016-2017 campaign when they travel up to perennial powerhouse Pella on January 3rd.
