It is a pivotal Raccoon River Conference matchup tonight when the Perry Jayettes travel to Huxley to take on Ballard in a 6:00 tip at the Roundhouse. Perry enters the game red hot after having won their last 4 games to push their season record to 8-2. The Jayettes are currently tied with Ballard for second place in the conference as both squads trail Boone by a game and currently sit 3-1. Ballard has been the dominant team in the RRC the past decade with 3 straight trips to the state tournament. The Bombers were eliminated from the state tourney in the first round the past 2 years and lost in the semifinals in 2014. Ballard returns 2 starters off last year’s state team.
