The West Central Valley boys and girls basketball teams were engaged in their second conference contests in 2017 taking on Earlham.

The Lady Wildcats used solid defense and a good shooting night to come away with their fourth win on the season defeating Earlham 57-47. The boys contest fell against the Wildcats as they faltered in a 47-64 defeat to Earlham. The Lady Wildcats with the win now improve their overall record to 4-7 and inch ahead inside the West Central Activities Conference now with a record of 3-4. For the Wildcat boys, with the loss they now see their overall record drop to 3-7 with a conference record of 2-6.

Both teams are off until Monday when they pick back up with game action with a rescheduled conference game against Ogden at home. Girls game will kick things off and boys game to follow at 7:30 pm.

As for today, the West Central Valley wrestling team is in action for a Saturday contest on the road hitting the mats in Coon Rapids for a 10:00 am start.
