The ACGC Charger wrestling team was in action for just the second time in 2017 on Saturday involved in the Crusader Invitational in Coon Rapids.

It was the first tournament of the new year for the Chargers who came into the break riddled with illness and injury and has since had a solid 2017 portion of their schedule and that included Saturday. In all 8 Charger wrestlers earned 6th place or better and of those 8, Easton Benson at 106 lbs and class 1A’s 7th ranked 145 lb wrestler Logan Scheuermann came away with first place finishes.

Of the remaining six top finishers for ACGC, Blaine Beeler (113 lbs), Cade Suhr (22o lbs), and Cole Stezel (170 lbs) earned second place finishes while Zachary Fees (120 lbs) and Seth Brokaw (126 lbs) earned their ways onto fourth place finishes.

Next on the docket for the Chargers will be another road contest on Thursday when they head back to Riverside high school to square off against Riverside, Tri Center, and Woodbine high schools beginning at 5:30 pm.
