After earning a pair of tough conference road tests on Friday both ADM Tiger basketball teams took a third road trip on Saturday for a non conference bout against Gilbert.

Coach Rick Dillinger and his Lady Tigers have had quite a rough go of it outside of the conference on the season boasting just a 1-4 record but would use a strong offensive first half  and even stronger defensive second half to earn a 48-28 win. The boys used great clock management to come away with their second non conference win in a 50-39.

The Lady Tiger defense followed up one great showing Friday with another one Saturday allowing just one double digit quarter. ADM took a 22-20 lead into the half while holding Gildbert to just 8 points in the second half. Sydney Bertman led the scoring charge with 13 points on the night and added a team leading 9 rebounds for the contest. After earning her way onto the starting varsity stage, sophomore Emma Jacobsen poured in 10 points as well.

The Tiger boys accomplished a similar feat ousting their Tiger counterpart thanks to composed veteran poise. What started out as a weaker point for coach Mager and his Tiger team vastly turned around over the past few games with Saturday being a highlight for the free throw game. The Tigers drained 13 of 18 total free throws on the day, sealing the deal by notching 8 of 11 in the fourth quarter. As has been the norm most of the season, Tajen Ross led the team recording his 7th 20 plus point game followed by both Payton Conrad and Matt Larsen with 7 points a piece.

The ADM girls team now improves their overall record to 5-6 with their win while the Tiger boys squad to 5-4 overall with their win. Both Tiger teams will take a reprieve from road games this week as they are back in the comforts of home tomorrow welcoming in Carlisle to ADM high school, girls game tips things off at 6:00 pm and the boys game at 7:30 pm.
