adel logoThe Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The meeting will start with two public hearings in regards to an amendment to the tax abatement program and a rezoning request.  New Finance Director Brittany Sandquist will take her oath of office and Dave Massey with Ankeny Sanitation will provide an update.

The Council will then review and approve the final draft of the Parks and Trails Master Plan, approve voluntary annexation, approve the third reading for an amendment to the city’s zoning code, and consider approving a planned unit development request from Kading Properties.

A contract with McClure Engineering for improvements to the water and storm sewer will then be considered, along with rescheduling a public hearing in regards to the Adel brick streets, a contract with Electronic Municipal Market Access for continuing disclosure reporting, improvements to the Adel Historical Museum and setting official newspapers and depositories.

Tax abatement applications will then be considered along with the sale of a street sweeper and a subdivision ordinance revision quote.

The meeting takes place at 6pm in the Adel City Hall.
