Greene County ExtensionGreene County Extension is offering a class later this month to help plan meals quickly.

Extension Families Coordinator Sue Richardson says the “Healthy Meals in a Hurry” program will give participants tips on how to make healthy meals in a short amount of time and without spending very much money to do so.

“One thing this program does is it really shows people how to reduce sodium and also sugar in their diet and have everything ready in advance so all you’ll have to do is come home and throw some things together and have a good healthy, nutritious meal.”

Extension Nutrition and Wellness Specialist Katie Knobbe will lead the class. The cost to participate is $15 and attendees will prepare meals to take home, along with recipes and ingredients. The class will be held on Thursday, January 19th at 5:30pm at Central Christian Church in Jefferson.
