The Stuart Fire Department has grown. Stuart Fire Chief Mike Renslow tells Raccoon Valley Radio the station has doubled in size, and is now an 11,100 square foot facility. Sleeping quarters for the 24-hour paramedics are now inside the station. Ready Rack Gear Lockers have been installed to bring air to all sides of the gear.  Renslow says “we built the station for the future.”  He adds volunteers are always needed, so if you would like to be a firefighter stop by or give them a call at (515-523-2400).
