Greene County RamsThe annual Greene County junior class chili supper is happening tomorrow night.

It will take place during Greene County High School’s mega basketball night when the Rams host Collins-Maxwell/Baxter in Jefferson at both the middle school gym and the Greene County Community Center.

The chili supper will be served at the Jefferson Elks Lodge from 5 to 7pm. The menu includes chili, crackers, relishes, pie, dessert, milk or coffee. All proceeds will go to this year’s prom, which Advisor Teresa Green reveals this year’s theme.

“The kids ended up going with a New York City theme. They thought they could make the (Greene Room) events center (at Wild Rose) kind of more of a big city type thing and maybe our grand march could be a walk through Central Park. Just some fun things like that.”

Green adds that the chili supper is the only fundraiser the junior class does to put on prom every year.

“It’s just always been really well received by our community. We are so thankful very everyone who comes out and supports the kids. I know this Friday night it’s suppose to be cold, so it would be a good night to come out and have some chili, have a piece of pie, a piece of dessert and just enjoy our community.”

Tickets for the supper are $6 for those ages six and older. Anyone five and younger can eat for free. Chili refills are $1 each and milk refills will be $.50. Tickets are available from any junior, at the high school office or at the door.
