GCDC 1_10The Greene County Development Corporation met Tuesday.

President Sid Jones briefly talked about the community development project with Zach Mannheimer with Iowa Business Growth and how they could implement it to attract more people to live in the County.

Economic Development Director Ken Paxton updated everyone on their various housing projects. He said progress is continuing to be made on the White House Apartments with renovating the facility and they are looking into building modular homes with a company from Ogden.

Paxton briefly mentioned that GCDC would like to work more with Jefferson Matters: Main Street on downtown area projects. He also reported that New Hope is on track to open in the former Ben Franklin building by mid-February.
