The Stuart Enterprise for Economical Development or (SEED) program was started over 40 years ago by business owners in Stuart.

Economic Development Liaison Kristen Renslow has been a part of the SEED program for about 3 years. And says everyone involved is a volunteer.

“My main job as a liaison is to create and retain businesses, write grants, and make life better for citizens in Stuart.”

SEED is currently working with the city to get an entrance sign installed. To become a member of SEED, you need to go on their website and go to the economic development tab.  Under that there is a membership tab. The cost is $100 for a voting membership and $50 for a non-voting membership.
