Tiger Wrestling With Solid Outing In Tiger Invitational

It was a full day of wrestling for the ADM Tiger wrestling team Saturday as they hosted an 11 team field in the Tiger Invitational.

The Tigers looked for a repeat performance and more from last season and this time and they had another solid outing. The 11 team field consisted of 3 ranked teams in class 3A’s 10th ranked Waukee, and 8th ranked Glenwood along with class 2A’s 5th ranked Atlantic. The rest of the field was comprised of Dallas Center-Grimes, Red Oak, West Central Valley, Ames, Nevada, Clarke and Roland-Story.

The Tigers may have a younger team than at this point last season but that didn’t stop them from earning a fifth place finish overall earning 110 total points on the day. There were 10 individuals total on the day earning top 6 finishes headlined by Andrew Flora defending his class 2A top ten ranking by notching his 27th win on the season to take first overall in the 106 lb weight class.

Atlantic, Glenwood, Dallas Center-Grimes, and Red Oak were the only teams to earn their way ahead of ADM in the final standings while Ames, West Central Valley, Waukee, Nevada, Clarke, and Roland-Story rounded out the rankings.
