While the ADM Tiger boys basketball team may not be technically involved in a Raccoon River Conference showdown, the atmosphere will still feel like it as the Tigers welcome in former conference foe Dallas Center-Grimes.
The Tigers take a quick reprieve from conference play after extracting revenge on Boone for last year’s post season loss while striving for just their second winning streak on the season against the Mustangs tonight. The Mustangs meanwhile come off their first loosing streak of the season currently standing with a mark of 9-2 overall. The Tigers look to stop the Mustang’s rule over the Raccoon River Conference as of late, winners of 9 out of the past 10 match ups, although the lone loss came at the hands of RRC member Perry in last years post season on the ADM hardwood.
The Tigers will look to repeat that performance and they will aim to do so behind class 3A’s most efficient perimeter scoring offense comprised of the conferences top scorer in Tajen Ross. Meanwhile, the Tigers will show off their defense skill having allowed the 7th fewest points in all of class 3A.
Interesting to note, both teams are looking to become just the second team since the 1988 Perry Blue Jays to be a Dallas County team to win a championship. Both will takes steps to doing so tonight as game two of a girl/boy double header which kicks off with the girls game at 6:00 and the boys game at 7:30 pm from ADM high school.
