The Dallas County Conservation Board invites everyone to a special outdoor event this weekend.
The Winter Wackers program takes place Saturday from 9am until noon at the Voas Nature Area. The Board is continuing to clear a historic oak savanna and though the summer Youth Volunteer Program made a solid dent on the project, there’s more work to be done.
Participants will use hand saws and loopers to clear honeysuckle, dogwood and multiflora rose. Equipment will be provided but you’re also welcome to bring your own.
Everyone is invited to take part, but registration is required for the free activity.
To reserve your spot, call 465-3577.
