The ACGC girls basketball team was aiming to get back on the winning track last night as they hosted one of the conferences best in Panorama. While the intentions were good, the execution wasn’t so hot as the Lady Chargers found themselves down early and often leading to a 61-43 defeat.

The game started off heavily in favor of the Panthers after a 23-8 first quarter lead ballooned into a 35-16 Panorama halftime lead. Stingy defense for the Lady Chargers showed in the third quarter as ACGC held Panorama to just 11 point but on the flip side the Lady Panthers held ACGC to just 7 third quarter points. In attempt for a fourth quarter surge, the Lady Chargers posted 11 fourth quarter points but unfortunately the lead was to great for ACGC to overcome falling 61-43.

Madison Berger once again led the scoring charge with 12 points, the only Lady Charger to earn more than five points on the night.

The Lady Chargers will now set their sights on their Tuesday match up where they welcome in Des Moines Christian for another West Central Activities Conference battle. Game tip off for Tuesday’s contest is set to begin at 6:00 pm.
