Greene Co Supervisors 1_23The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

The Board approved a budget amendment of $343,765 in additional expenses, as well as $270,038 in additional revenues for the 2017 fiscal year budget, following a public hearing on the topic.

The Board also approved a substance abuse grant of no more than $2,000, along with a semi-annual report from the Iowa Department of Public Health and a letter of support for the Freedom Rock committee for a Greene County Community Foundation grant.

The Board then reviewed a $1,000 budget amendment to the current fiscal year budget for emergency management. The Board also reviewed the 2018 fiscal year budget for emergency management. The proposed expenses are $30,688 and the revenues are $29,500. The Board then set a public hearing for both the amendment and proposed budget for February 13th at 9am.

The Board then heard the County Recorder’s 2018 fiscal year budget. Expenses were projected at $139,830 and revenues were $63,214. No action was taken.

Finally, the Board discussed the Board Chair receiving additional salary for mileage to attend additional meetings throughout the year. Auditor Jane Heun will check with the Compensation Board to see if the Supervisors are allowed to act on something like that.
