It was another conference girls/boy double header to start off the week for the ACGC Charger girls and boys basketball teams last night.

Both Charger teams were on the road taking on Earlham and in the girls game it would be a great first half that set the tone and the eventual win for the Lady Chargers 39-35. The boys contest on the other had would wintess ACGC earn a 62-25 loss after a slow first half.

The Lady Chargers had one of their best shooting nights while playing sound defense, enough to lead the hometown Earlham squad at the half 33-16. What was scary for the Lady Chargers was a 17 point lead almost evaporating in the second half which saw ACGC outscored 19-6, but fortunately the lead for the Lady Chargers was too great for Earlham to overcome. The Lady Chargers now find themselves with a record of 4-14 overall and 3-10 inside the conference.

In the boys contest, the Chargers faltered early and often with just 6 first quarter and 5 second quarter points. That would find the Chargers down at the half by a 22-11 margin. ACGC put up a solid 11 point fourth quarter but a 13 point fourth quarter gave Earlham the victory. The Charger boys now drop their overall record to 3-16 overall with a 3-13 conference mark.
