whiterock conservancyIndividuals interested in learning more about cover crops are invited to a workshop tomorrow at Whiterock Conservancy.

It will cover topics such as cover crop education and selection, spring agronomy and advanced scouting programs for agronomists that are concerned about potential impacts of cover crops on cash crops. There will also be three speakers included in the workshop. Sarah Carlson with Practical Farmers of Iowa will talk about the current state of cover crops and small grains in Iowa, agronomist Jason Nees with Axis Seed will review spring agronomy with cover crops and Bill Fredericks with Iowa Cover Crops will discuss different cover crop selections.

Plus, a webinar will address cover crops with real world conditions as well as managing pests. The program will end with attendees asking questions to a variety of panelists.

The workshop will be from 9am to 1pm with a free lunch included. Participants can also receive continuing education credits.
