The ACGC boys basketball team has one last shot to steal a win before they head into postseason play, ending off the regular season on Friday.

The game originally scheduled for today has been pushed back just one day but never the less the show will go on as the Chargers welcome in Coon Rapids-Bayard. The Crusaders will march into Guthrie Center with an overall mark of 10-10 on the season. In a game of match ups, while the Crusaders average 56 points per game compared to ACGC’s 40, there are many favorable match ups for the Chargers to even up the playing field.

ACGC does out match the Crusaders in height and as such are out rebounding them 518-485. The Chargers yield 11 more blocks on the season and have the advantage at the free throw line but a few thing they will have to keep an eye on starts with the perimeter game for Coon Rapids-Bayard. The Crusaders currently own a 34.9% shooting efficiency from three point land led by Ben Obert with 26 three’s connected on the season. Another individual to watch out for is Crusader senior Riley Brandon currently yielding class 1A’s 7th best steals total with 71 on the year.

Leading the way for the Chargers will be Colton Sargent as the only player averaging over ten points a game with a mark of 12.0 per contest. Sargent also leads ACGC in rebounds with 130.

The game tomorrow night from Guthrie Center will tip off at 7:30 pm.
