ADM Wrestling’s Andrew Flora and Nolan Harsh have officially earned frequent flyer status to the state wrestling tournament after both punched their tickets Saturday in the district 3 tournament in Harlan.

The steady powerhouse that is Andrew Flora (106 lbs) started his pursuit back to Des Moines by picking up his fourth major decision win on the year against Creston’s Brodie Starlin. Flora earned his way back to the state tournament by notching a 6-0 decision win over Van Meter/Earlham’s Colby Wiederholt in the championship match. Now in his second straight appearance to the big dance, Flora wields a 45-5 record, a six win increase from last season.

Nolan Harsh followed suit by also earning his way back to the state tournament with a first place win of his own in the 138 lb weight class. His semifinal match witnessed an impressive 2-0 decision win over the sectional 6 runner up Drew Venteicher. That earned Harsh a return trip back to the district championship match where he picked up his 14th win by fall defeating Creston’s Trevor Marlin in the 3:49 mark.

Raccoon Valley Radio will have coverage of both wrestlers in their second straight trip to the state tournament which commences February 16th-18th.
