The Perry Public Library is taking part in an international initiative this weekend.

Take Your Child to the Library Day is Saturday.  The goal is to promote the development of good reading habits in childhood and encourage families to make visits to the library a regular habit.

Attendees will be able to enjoy balloon animals and face painting, plus each child will go home with a free book.

Several local organizations and businesses will also be there to provide information about children’s programming and services in the area.

It takes place at the library from 10am until 1pm.  There’s no cost to attend.
