Whiterock Conservancy will host the third annual Archeological Roadshow on Saturday, February 25th at the Bur Oak Visitor’s Center in Coon Rapids. From 1:00 to 3:00 pm amateur archaeologists can bring finds and experts will help them learn how old artifacts are, where they came from, what they were used for, and what the people who used them were like. From 3:00 to 4:00 pm experts including Joe Artz, Senior Geoarchaeologist at EarthView Environmental, Inc., and Cherie Haury-Artz, Outreach Educator from the Office of the State Archaeologist, will discuss some of the most interesting artifacts brought to the Roadshow as well as items found at a recent dig near the Middle Raccoon River.
