Jefferson Matters: Main Street has increased the amount for their mini-grants to help improve the exterior look to a downtown business.
Program Director Peg Raney says the Design Committee has raised the amount from $250 to $500, due to the generosity JMMS received during their most recent investment drive. Downtown building owners can use the mini-grants to paint, tuck-point replace windows and doors or remove non-conforming elements of the exterior of the building.
Nine businesses have taken advantage of the mini-grants. Projects are reimbursed from receipts and must include before and after photos to be eligible. A copy of the application can be found by clicking the link below. Applications are approved first by the design committee and then by the JMMS Board of Directors.
