As we’ve reported, the collective bargaining laws have changed in Iowa after a bill was signed by Governor Terry Branstad recently.
District 10 State Senator Jake Chapman was on the bill’s sub committee and says they received a lot of input both for and against the changes that give power back to local entities.
“Ultimately, what this bill does is it puts the power back into the elected official’s hands. Your county supervisors, your city councils, your school board to address those benefits and empower them to make choices that they feel are best for the employees in their jurisdiction.”
Senator Chapman will share more of his thoughts with us on today’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program.
