The Greene County High School girls’ basketball team is taking a road trip today to watch the State Tournament in Des Moines and the two teams qualifying from the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. PCM (Monroe) is in the Class 3A field, while league champion Nevada is a Class 4A qualifier, and both play today.

Coach Dean Lyons told Raccoon Valley Radio the team will be making a dinner stop on the way home, and that’s when he’ll present letters and other awards. The HOIAC All-Conference selections cannot be announced until after PCM and Nevada have both completed their seasons. The Rams were 4-18 overall and 3-13 in conference play. Four of the losses were to PCM and Nevada, and another loss was to Boone, also a 4A State qualifier.
