The Greene County FFA chapter is hosting a free-will donation meal on Friday.
Advisor Katie Akers says students will serve a fish fry in the Ram Restaurant from 5 to 7pm. The FFA aquaculture class raised the tilapia, which will be the entree for the meal. She says FFA provides great benefits, like the fish fry, for the members.
“Well being apart of an FFA group is meaning that you’re willing to be a leader, you care about your community, you care about your fellow classmates and fellow members. One of the things that FFA really works to provide students is an understanding and experience with premier leadership and also an understanding of career opportunities related to agriculture in the future.”
Proceeds from the fish fry will go back to the local chapter for FFA-related activities and events.
