The Perry Historic Preservation Commission and Hometown Heritage are seeking applications for names to be added to the Wall of Witnesses.
Located at Soumas Court, the wall “recognizes those who have gone before us and stand as witnesses to our care of the community and those who set the course both in the present and in the future.”
Commission member John Palmer says they’re looking for nominations of people who have gone above and beyond.
“If you feel somebody has done something extraordinary for Perry, has lived in Perry all his life and is well known, that’s kind of the ground works for it. And maybe they didn’t have to be a high roller but somebody that sticks out as done something all the time they lived here in Perry.”
Nominations should be returned to Perry Historic Preservation at PO Box 545 in Perry and need to be received by March 8th.
