A high speed chase, which began in Des Moines Thursday night, ended just outside of Panora.

 Des Moines Police attempted to stop a vehicle was driven by a man wanted on a felony warrant near Indianola Road and Park Avenue around 11:00pm. The driver took off at high speed, leading them on a chase through downtown Des Moines and eventually onto I-235 where the pursuit was turned over to the State Patrol. The chase continued until the driver, Jorey Butterbaugh, was apprehended near Panora, about 50 miles from where it began.

Butterbaugh is charged with OWI, Eluding, Speeding, Failure to Use Headlights, and  Felon in Possession of a Weapon, among other charges.
