Since the departure of Roccie Hill as the Greene County Chamber Director this past October, the Chamber Board has been looking over several options for different positions.

President Ora Stevens says they hired Michael Reese with Atlas Media Group in Des Moines as a part-time consultant for the Chamber. Stevens explains why they wanted to hire a consultant.

“Based on the fact that we really needed the help of getting somebody out there, to help fundraise, to help find sponsors (and) to help find events. So we needed that behind-the-scenes manpower to keep things going when us, as volunteers, are not there on a daily basis to do it.”

Reese is looking to bring a new campaign to the Chamber called “Reinvent Yourself” with changes and upgrades to the Chamber’s media, marketing and relations. Reese is a 1995 Jefferson-Scranton High School graduate.

Stevens is excited for the opportunity and some of the out-of-the-box ideas that Reese has for his campaign.
