The annual Greene County Community Foundation grant award ceremony is next week in Jefferson.

President Tom Wind says they will be giving away the largest amount of money ever with $179,500. Twenty-three different organizations will be receiving funding this year. They had 29 grant applications totaling $247,000 in requests. The Greene County Community Foundation receives their funding through Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation, the non-profit license holder for Wild Rose casino. Greene County no longer qualifies to receive funds through the state as a non-gaming county.

The ceremony will take on Monday, March 20th at 7pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson. The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.
